GRACE Events Series #9 – Mojisola Adebayo @ Oviedo

Paola Prieto López organizes the seminar entitled “Mojisola Adebayo: A Retrospective with Reflections on Working Against Inequalities in the Theatre Industry”. The event will take place next Friday, May 10th, at the University of Oviedo as part of the GRACE event series.

Mojisola Adebayo is a Danish/Nigerian dramatist, actress, director and teacher born in South London. She is a professor of contemporary theater and dramaturgy at the University of Goldsmiths. She has worked in theater, radio, and television, in four different continents, for the past two decades, performing in more than 50 productions, writing and directing more than 30 plays and leading innumerable workshops in four continents, from Antarctica to Zimbabwe.

In this seminar, she will present what she describes as Afriquia Theatre (black/queer theatre), through a retrospective of her work, she will share excerpts from her plays and discuss with the audience her most significant plays and collaborative productions.
